Prerequisite

Permission of instructor, following review of audition portfolio of compositions and computer music systems/instruments designs.

Students admitted to 490I will have engineering and/or musical skills appropriate for themed team research projects defined yearly. Completion of Music 346 and 446 is expected. Graduate students should register for 590I.

Description

Advanced work in electronic music composition, live electronic performance, and emerging performance technologies. Meets regularly in a seminar format for discussions and presentation as determined by yearly defined themes. Project documentation required.
