Climate Change Theatre Action is a series of performances and events that will bring community members together to imagine--and plan--a more hopeful and sustainable future. In partnership with the Iowa State MFA Program in Creative Writing and Environment, the EcoTheatre Lab, the International Climate Change Theatre Action Initiative 2021 (CCTA), Ames Climate Action Team, Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, ISU Climate Reality Campus Corps at ISU, Parks Library, ISU Office of Sustainability/Live Green! Initiative, Ames Public Library, Ames Main Street Farmers' Market, Community Engagement Living Lab and Play Ames: Imagine Your City, Octagon Center for the Arts, Ames High School Earth and Space Science Classes, and Ames Middle School Science Classes.

  • Thursday, September 23rd, 5:15 p.m., South Library Lawn (Rain location: Parks Library overhang)
  • Sunday, October 3rd, 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Ames Public Library outdoors (Rain location: Ames Public Library auditorium)

  • Monday, September 20, 12:00 p.m., Monday Monologues, Steps of Parks Library
  • Saturday, September 25, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Ames Farmers' Market. Performances at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am.
  • Saturday, September 25, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Play Ames: Imagine Your City community engagement festival. Performances at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 pm at Franklin Park.
  • Sunday, September 26, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Octagon Art Festival
  • Saturday, October 9, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Ames Farmers' Market. Performances at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am.
