“Every atom in me, in everybody, has come from places beyond our dreams.”

A single mother and her two daughters try to cope with life. One of the daughters, Tillie, prepares her experiment for the science fair involving marigolds raised from radioactive seeds, but her mother does not make it easy for her success. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this play was later adapted for film and was directed by Paul Newman and starred Joan Woodward.
