What is the nature of family?
Ken Talley is a Vietnam vet who is a paraplegic. His lover Jed is a botanist. On Independence Day 1977 family and friends come to Ken’s rural Missouri home. On July fifth the celebrations are over and this group of former student activists begins to cope with lost hopes and dreams. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play 1981.
