
This Roman comedy (from which the musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is based) explores the exploits of Pseudolus, a slave. In order to win his freedom, Pseudolus must first deceive the pimp, reunite the young lovers, trick a slave, win the bet and help his master’s son . . . all in a day’s work for this cunning conniver.
