Summer Experience Camps
Each summer, the Iowa State Color Guard offers a series of experience camps that are purely educational and meant to introduce prospective members to our style and technique to help prepare them for the official audition in August. There is no cost to attend. We will provide flag equipment for you to use. We will use outdoor spaces if the weather cooperates, so please bring things like sunglasses, hats, and water bottles, and wear athletic clothing suited for Iowa summers. Camps will meet at Simon Estes Music Hall on the following dates this year:
- June 29, 2024
- July 27, 2024
If you plan on attending one of our Guard Experience Camps, please fill out our Experience Camp Interest Form.
At the bottom of this page, you can also find some helpful videos that work on some of the techniques and materials covered at our camps and for auditions.
