ISU Theatre Student Representatives

Overview

Theatre Student Representatives are student leaders who serve as representatives for performing arts majors. They are elected in the spring of each year by ISU performing arts majors.

Elections

Applications to be an ISU Theatre Student Representative are open in late spring. Candidate requirements include being a current performing arts major; sophomore standing or higher and at least one semester completed as a student at Iowa State University; 2.8 GPA or higher; and a demonstrated commitment to be involved in the Department of Music and Theatre. Elections for all representatives will take place near the end of the spring semester. Up to three ISU Theatre Student Representatives will be elected. All terms will run one year commencing at the beginning of the fall semester, with no limit on the number of re-elections. 

Responsibilities

  • Attending faculty/staff meetings
  • Acting as a liaison between faculty/staff and students
  • Assisting with PERF 1050
  • Attend/facilitate student outreach events
  • Provide assistance to students with questions/concerns
  • Consulting with the Season Advisory Committee
