What were you involved in during your time at ISU:
I took part in ISUCFvMB, university, chorus, oratorio, chorus, Iowa State, singers, Iowa State, chamber, singers, Men’s Glee Club, Off the Record, vocal, jazz, opera singers, ISU theater, ISU musical theater, and alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

What do you currently do for a living:
I am a high school counselor. 

Are there other ways that you participate in your community and/or how you engage as a Citizen Artist?
I recently joined an all-inclusive, barbershop chorus in my area!

How did your time at ISU prepare you for your career?
The rigorous studies and wholesome, Midwest community on campus helped me become the professional I am today. The opportunities to travel abroad helped me become a better global citizen.

What was your favorite class while you were at ISU? Why?
Iowa State Chamber Singers because of the varied works we performed, the opportunity for residency in Germany, and the opportunity to share the stage with Barry Manilow!

How was your involvement in music and theatre beneficial in different parts of your life?
I was given the opportunity to work with a variety of people which has led to greater empathy and understanding in my current life and job. 

Any words of wisdom for current or prospective students?
Take advantage of all the little opportunities presented as they may lead you in a direction you did not expect!
