ISU Theatre accepting applications for Student Fringe Festival

AMES, Iowa - ISU Theatre is thrilled to announce that applications for its first ever school-wide Student Fringe Festival are now open.

The Student Fringe Festival will feature four days of student-produced work on April 27th - 30th, 2023, and will take place in multiple locations across campus, including Fisher Theater, Memorial Union, Student Innovation Center, and Ames Public Library.

All ISU students are eligible to participate in the festival. All that is required to perform in the festival is the completion of a project proposal form via the ISU Theatre website, music.iastate.edu/theatre-auditions.  Projects can be anything performance related, including theatrical performances, comedy shows, concerts, juggling acts, film screenings, and more, but should be no longer than 60 minutes in length.

Fringe Fests provide an opportunity for students to create their own work and share it in a fun and collaborative format. Interested ISU students should submit project proposals through February 26th for guaranteed consideration. The submission window closes March 3rd.

Additionally, ISU Theatre has established a call board outside 310 Carver Hall for students who need collaborators to use as a way to connect with other interested students.

Questions can be directed to Tiffany Antone @ TLAntone@iastate.edu.
