Tony Forsmark honored with Distinguished Alumni Award from Iowa State University Department of Music and Theatre

Ames, Iowa - Tony Forsmark, an actor, writer, and director, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Iowa State University Department of Music and Theatre at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honors and Awards Ceremony on Nov. 3.

After graduating from Iowa State with a bachelor’s degree in performing arts in 2001, Forsmark moved to Los Angeles to pursue his professional career and studied under acting teachers Milton Katselas and Rob Brownstein and director Howie Deutch. Along with working on original theatre productions, Forsmark has spent his performing arts career in front of and behind the camera. His credits include shows such as “Documentary Now,” “Scorpion,” and “Criminal Minds” and feature films “Hidalgo” and “Vice.” Forsmark currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Dr. Regan Maas (’01 psychology) and their two children.
