In addition to Theatre, what are you involved with here at ISU and beyond? Design work for Orchesis 1 and 2. I am currently a stagehand at Stephens Auditorium.
What music and theatre projects are you working on right now or have recently completed? I am currently the Lighting Designer for ISU Theatre's upcoming show Night of the Living Dead! The Musical!. This past summer, I was a lighting apprentice at Lees McRae Summer Theatre summer stock in North Carolina.
What is your favorite thing about your experiences at Iowa State? My favorite thing about my experience at Iowa State is the people I've met and grown friendships/partnerships with. I got to expand my skill set here with lighting design, and I feel ready to pursue my passion.
Why did you choose the department of Music and Theatre at ISU? When I arrived for orientation, I got the chance to meet the people of this department, and in seconds, I felt like I belonged.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan on continuing my pursuit of expanding my knowledge of the craft and creating new designs for upcoming shows around the country.
Any words of wisdom for prospective students? I was going to major in engineering here at ISU until I saw a better path with majoring in theatre. I don't regret making that choice, nor will I ever in the future. My advice is don't be afraid to take a risk and follow the path that future you can be proud of.
