ISU Theatre announces a new season selection process for the 2022-23 academic year and beyond

AMES, Iowa—Iowa State University Department of Music and Theatre is excited to announce a new season selection process for the ISU Theatre 2022-23 academic year and beyond.  The new process – aimed at creating a more open, responsive, and innovative approach to season selection - is the result of several months of effort by ISU Theatre’s Season Advisory Committee and the broader ISU Theatre Community.  The process integrates feedback from multiple campus constituencies as well as best practices and innovations from theatre companies and institutions from across the U.S.

Upcoming ISU Theatre season planning and selection will integrate a multi-year development process in which any ISU student, faculty, staff member, or member of the Ames community can submit project proposals for consideration in a future ISU Theatre Season.  Project proposals can cover a broad array of productions, projects, and other initiatives including (but not limited to): fully produced plays/musicals, play workshops and readings, lectures, guest artists, cross-disciplinary partnerships and projects, or course-related showcases.

Priority consideration for the 2022-23 academic season will be given to proposals received by March 6, 2022.  Proposals will be evaluated based on their match to ISU Theatre’s mission and values as well as match to current and future resources.  Instructions and the project proposal form can be found on the ISU Theatre website.
