Cantus, from Johnston High School will join the Iowa State Singers in this shared concert.  Each ensemble will perform individually, and will close the program together singing William Dawson’s “Ezekiel Saw de Wheel.”  Featured will be a newly commissioned work by Latvian composer Lauma Kazaka, “We Grow Accustomed to the Dark," a poem by Emily Dickinson.  Johnston High School conductor Hannah Ryan is a graduate of Iowa State.
