Join us for Iowa State University Department of Music and Theatre's All-State Workshop on Sunday, September 21 from 1:00-4:30 pm.

The ISU All-State Workshop is for those students auditioning for the 2025 All-State. This event is free but requires registration.

Each of the areas will cater the topics to the needs of that specific instrument. For the flute (and a majority of the woodwinds and brass), we will have a class devoted to scales, each of the etudes, a panel on auditioning tips and trade secrets, and a masterclass on solos (for those that volunteer and want to play their solo!)

All-State Workshop Information

• Please bring your instrument, etudes, and your solo (if you prefer). If you are able to bring a folding music stand, please do.
• Parking is available in the lot on the west side of Simon Estes Music Hall.  This is free parking but is often limited.  The Memorial Union Parking Garage is another option for a fee.  Please refer to this link for a map to find Simon Estes Music Hall on the north side of Lake Lavern as well as parking. https://www.fpm.iastate.edu/maps/.
• We will meet in the lobby of Simon Estes Music Hall and branch off into rooms at 1 p.m. If you are unable to arrive by 1 p.m., please let us know as soon as possible by emailing musicinfo@iastate.edu.

• Feel free to arrive earlier if you want to explore our beautiful campus or visit the ISU Bookstore to pick up some Cyclone gear!
