Of the Deep description:

When a girl discovers a massive whale carcass washed up on the shore of her small, coastal town, she and the town's residents must come together to figure out how it got there and what to do next.  Guided by her mother and teacher, the girl’s journey takes paths both practical and mysterious.

This new play features puppetry and original music.  All of the characters will be portrayed using puppets.  There will not be any spoken word within the play.

What to Prepare?: Auditions will consist of group storytelling and movement work – no advance preparation required.  Please dress in clothing that allows you to move comfortably.
Scripts are available for check out in 310 Carver during office hours.

Production Details:
Rehearsals begin around March 9, and will generally be Monday – Friday in the 6:00 – 10:00 pm time frame.  There will be 2-3 training/workshopping sessions in February (scheduled based on availability).

Tech week begins Sunday, April 19, 2020. Performances are April 24 – May 2, 2020.

Credit Availability:

2-3 Credits of Theatre 301x available.

Roles Available:  3-5 principal puppeteers and a puppeteer ensemble of 5-7.
