Mary Storrs Andersen

Mary Storrs Anderson, a singer, was always interested in ΣΑΙ. She wrote: "It has paid me big dividends in pleasure, pride, and satisfaction to note the gradual and steady growth of ΣΑΙ from our small Slpha group of seven members at Ann Arbor, to the many new chapters with thousands of members, formed in the important music schools all over the country. My heart goes out to all who participate in carrying on the ideals of ΣΑΙ."

Elizabeth Campbell

Elizabeth Campbell was a vocalist who became a faculty member at the University of Michigan. She was active in the growth of ΣΑΙ, officiating often as new chapters were installed. She held almost every office in Alpha Chapter, as well as in the National Organization, serving as National President in 1913-14.

Frances Caspari

Frances Caspari was a concert soloist. After extensive vocal study in New York, she later returned to Ann Arbor, where she taught in her own studios. She continued to sing and to direct choirs.

Nora Crane Hunt

Nora Crane Hunt was a contralto who studied extensively. She was a member of the University of Michigan music faculty for 38 years.

Leila Farlin Laughlin

Leila Farlin, a voice major, graduated from the University of Michigan the year ΣΑΙ was founded. She taught on the University of Michigan faculty for seven years and then became Head of the Vocal Department at Pennsylvania Normal College.

Georgina Potts

Georgina Potts was a brilliant pianist. She received the Artists' Diploma in Piano from the University of Michigan at the time of ΣΑΙ's founding. She was devoted to music, but she had many other interests; she filled scrapbooks with poetry and with literary and musical items. She was a student of French, German, Spanish, and Russian.

Minnie M. Davis Sherrill

Minnie Davis was a pianist. She was a young faculty member at the School of Music when she had the idea of forming an organization of the most gifted young women in the school. She served as the first President of Alpha Chapter, and was the National President in 1916-17.
