The Iowa State Singers have been honored with an invitation to perform at the
2009 ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) National Convention, Thursday,
March 5, in the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City, OK. The Singers are
one of just six collegiate choirs selected nationally to give solo
performances. Thousands of choral conductors from the United States and abroad
will be in attendance. The Singers were last honored with an ACDA National
Convention appearance in 2005, where they gave three performances before
enthusiastic audiences in Los Angeles, CA.
The Iowa State Singers have also been honored this year with an invitation to
perform at the second biennial National Convention of the NCCO (National
Collegiate Choral Organization). The convention is expected to draw hundreds of
collegiate choral conductors from around the country. The performance will take
place on Thursday, October 30, at the University of Cincinnati
College-Conservatory of Music.
Both of these invitations are based on decisions made by national panels of
judges, who critique recordings of each choir's immediate past years. The
members of the Iowa State Singers are thrilled with these opportunities and
gratefully acknowledge their former members, whose commitment to artistry helped
to develop one of the very beautiful traditions at Iowa State University.

There is also new information on the Prospective Students page, and an update was made to the Repitoire list for 2004-2005.

Our calendar has been updated for the 2006-2007 year! Please check it for concert dates and venues. Tickets for concerts in Stephens Auditorium can be purchased on ticketmaster or from the Iowa State Center Box Office, located on the ground floor of Stephens Auditorium.

The Singers Repertoire has been updated. Our repertoire for 2005-2006 can now be found on the "Repertoire" page.
The Iowa State Singers has a new webmaster! Our website has become rather outdated, but will be renovated in the weeks and months to come. Please be patient and check back often!
