Jean Sturtz, a violinist as well as an organ major, was one of the freshman class
of four music majors when ISU first offered a music degree in the fall of 1967.
At first, the music degree was called the Bachelor of Science with a Major in Music.
It would later be given a real name similar to other institutions, Bachelor of Music.
