New Music Technology Courses

New Music Technology Course Sequence Begins
A new sequence of courses in music technology begins Fall 2007. Music 246 Introduction to Music Technology is a new course in the fundamentals of encoding, editing, and mixing techniques using sound recordings and MIDI. This course is open to music majors as a new elective course. Non-majors are welcome and should consult the course webpage for registration guidelines. A new advanced course in MIDI programming and sampling, Music 346 MIDI and Digital Audio Techniques will begin Spring 2008. Music 446 Electronic Music Synthesis and Music 490I Independent Study (Electronic Music) will continue to be available for advanced work in sound synthesis, controllers design, and electronic music composition.
