Joseph Messenger

Professor of Music

Joseph Messenger is professor of clarinet and saxophone and principal clarinet in the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts in clarinet performance from the University of Iowa. He has performed at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, at Clar-Fest, at International Clarinet Society conferences, and in concerts in Monterrey and San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He has served as a consultant to manufacturers of clarinets, mouthpieces, reeds, and barrels.
