Carl Bleyle, who earned his Ph. D. at the University of Minnesota, lead the Florence program and is director of Musica Antiqua. His research and publication areas include organ instruction in Eighteen-century Europe and America, and Renaissance performance practices. He performs on period instruments including the organ, zink, and krummhorn.
