Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Be it known that in honour of the Millennium Year, His Majesty James I has decreed that the Entree for the 38th Annual Madrigal Dinners shall be the Other White Meat, succulent Pork, selected from the vast Royal Herds.
Dinner guests will be treated to the grand processional of the king, queen, lords and ladies, musicians, and jesters of the court along with song, dance, and theatrical renditions reminiscent of Jacobean England. Guests will also be treated to the sounds of period instruments (as performed by Musica Antiqua) such as the bladder pipe, the hammered dulcimer, the serpent, the lizard, the zink, the ever-popular krummhorns, the organetto, and the hurdy-gurdy an automated violin that is a favorite of the guests.
As the guests dine by the illumination of candlelight, they will be royally entertained by the ISU Singers, The Music Men, Musica Antiqua, and the ISU Orchesis II Dancers.
