Scholarship information for the ISU Orchestra Program

ISUSO Home | About | Get Involved | Performances | Scholarships

The ISU Orchestra Program offers string scholarships for participating in orchestra. Scholarships are awarded after a successful audition and according to the needs of the orchestra. Any ISU student - current or prospective - who is interested in participating as a string player in the orchestra is encouraged to apply and audition for an orchestra scholarship.

You do not have to be a music major to receive a scholarship from the ISU Orchestra Program.

To apply to become a music major and/or to be considered for a music scholarship, you must submit a departmental application form through the online application portal Acceptd. Students will be prompted within the application to request a letter of reccomendation. This recommendation should be submitted by a school music director and/or private teacher who is familiar with your musical ability. This year's sessions are:

Audition Sessions

  • Thursday, February 15, 2018
  • Friday, February 16, 2018
  • Saturday, February 17, 2018

If needed, please call to make arrangements for an alternate date.
