
The ISU Orchestra Program offers string scholarships for participating in orchestra. Scholarships are awarded after a successful audition and according to the needs of the orchestra. Any ISU student - current or prospective - who is interested in participating as a string player in the orchestra is encouraged to apply and audition for an orchestra scholarship.
You do not have to be a music major to receive a scholarship from the ISU Orchestra Program.
To apply for any scholarship from the ISU Music Department, you must complete and submit an application with at least one recommendation form in support of the application. This recommendation should be submitted by a school music director and/or a private teacher who is familiar with your musical ability. Your application file will not be considered complete without this completed application form and at least one recommendation form. The application deadline is January 16, 2013. Along with the forms, you must also attend an audition session. All auditions must be completed by February 22, 2013. This year's sessions are:
