Music 490I - Independent Study in Electronic Music

Prerequisite

Permission of instructor.

Students admitted to 490I normally will have completed 346 and/or 446. Extensive experience with MIDI, sound synthesis, and operation of a digital audio workstation is required. Graduate students should register for 590I.

Description

Advanced work in sound synthesis, live electronic performance, emerging performance technologies. Non-majors working in electronic music composition. Meets regularly in a seminar format for discussions and presentation. Project documentation required.
