Music 248 - Technology in Music Instruction

Description

Music 248A is an introductory course in the use of a standard music workstation, computer lab, servers, and the internet, for preparation of media used in teaching music. There will be four units of study:

I. Production of Musical Examples for Paper and Web-page Instructional Materials
II. Workstation-based Musical Arrangement and Advanced Production of Parts
III. Sound Reinforcement/Recording/Editing/Audio CD production
IV. Multimedia Presentation/Lecturing

Music 248A will combine lectures, instructor-supervised in-class labs, and unit projects. All unit projects and the final project require presentations, participation in discussion, and inclusion in a final portfolio.
