Musica Antiqua visits Bartlesville

The Pleasure of your Company

The Saturday evening program of Renaissance music with the Bartlesville Choral Society was the culminating activity for Antiqua's Oklahoma trip. The concert audience was very responsive and eager to experience early choral and instrumental music.

The Choral Society performed a wonderful program which included Allegri's Miserere, Palestrina's Sicut Cervus, Lotti's Crucifixus, and Byrd's Sing Joyfully in addition to the well known Weep, O Mine Eyes and Now is the Month of Maying.

The Choral Society program, The Pleasure of your Company, was held in the awe-inspiring Bartlesville Community Center. This dramatic building, designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, is a wonderful concert hall with excellent accoustics for even the most delicate sounds.

The Choral Society is directed by Susan Mueller.
